February Favorites: What I Loved This Month
by Lauren Dorsey, San Francisco real estate agent
Despite only being 2-3 days shorter than an average month, February always flies by. Between onboarding new buyers, a big Valentine's Day cookie drop for clients and friends, a friend's engagement party, my husband's birthday, Thursdays spent volunteering at Muttville, and quality time with a friend visiting from out of town, the month felt packed in the best way.
On the real estate side, I can feel the market heating up. Open houses have been busy, and buyers are eager to find the right home before spring competition ramps up. It’s been exciting to help clients navigate this shifting market while balancing all the personal moments that made February feel so full. Feeling grateful for all of it and looking forward to what’s ahead in 2025!
Book: Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
I’m finally on the last book of the Throne of Glass series, and I’m sad to say goodbye! This fantasy series has been such a fun and engaging read—perfect for unwinding at the end of a long day. I highly recommend the series if you’re looking for something binge-worthy.
Show: The Americans
My husband and I have been hooked on The Americans! We recently discovered this show, despite it being so highly reviewed for so long! Great twists and turns, drama and solid character development.
Restaurant: Mattina (Pac Heights)
I revisited Mattina in Pacific Heights with a group of girlfriends this month, and it was just as good as I remembered. The space is beautiful and cozy, making it perfect for a fun night out. Must-order items: the arancini, Brussels sprouts, and the lumache pasta in tomato cream sauce.
Bar: Stoa (Lower Haight)
One of my favorite places for a cocktail! Stoa is beautifully designed, has a relaxed vibe, and offers a great cocktail menu with delicious small plates. If you’re looking for a low-key yet stylish spot to grab a drink, this is it.
Walk: Golden Gate Park Loop
Long walks with my dog are a highlight of my routine, and this month’s favorite route was through Golden Gate Park with the ladies of the Junior League. We started near the Lawn Bowling Green, looped past the tennis courts to JFK Promenade, and circled back through the AIDS Memorial Grove. It’s such a peaceful route, with plenty of scenic spots along the way.
That’s a wrap on February! What were some of your favorite things this month?
